Denomination: Barbaresco DOCG Meruzzano

Vintage: 2020

Organoleptic Characteristics: Ruby garnet colored wine, characterized by a complex nose of spices and white chocolate with hints of small red fruits. In the mouth it is still complex, round and pleasant, warm finish, with an aftertaste reminiscent of rhubarb.

Vineyard : 16 years old, in the geographical mention Meruzzano in San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (Alba), at 320 m above sea level

Soil: clayey-calcareous.

Exposure: south-west.

Training system: classic guyot.

Production: 70 quintals/ha.

Vinification: carried out in steel tanks, with the emerged cap system and with the maceration of the marc for about 16 days. The fermentation temperature is controlled and maintained initially at 28°C and then dropped to 25°.

Aging: 30 months in 30-hectolitre oak barrels, then 6 months in bottle.
