Denomination: Barolo DOCG of the Municipality of Serralunga d'Alba

Vintage: 2015

Organoleptic Characteristics: the color of the wine is ruby red with garnet reflections. The aroma is clear and intense, with hints of vanilla, spices, dried rose and undergrowth. The flavor is dry, soft, full, velvety, harmonious and long-lasting. It can also pleasantly accompany the conversation at the end of the meal.

Vineyard : medium and high hill (350-420 metres), located in Serralunga d'Alba.

Soil: planted on soils of Miocene origin, rich in limestone and grey marl, interspersed with fine sand.

Exposure: south-west.

Training system: classic guyot.

Production: 80 quintals/ha.

Vinification: after the harvest, in the second ten days of October, fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature (30-31° C) in stainless steel vats with floating cap, for a duration of 15 days, with frequent pumping over to optimize the extraction of polyphenolic substances. Malolactic fermentation takes place at the end of fermentation and after racking.

Aging: minimum 3 years, of which at least 24 months in large oak barrels of Slavonia from 30 Hl and 12 months in steel tanks. The wine is then bottled for further refinement, which varies according to the characteristics of the vintage, but which is never less than 12 months.
