Denomination: Barolo DOCG Bussia

Vintage: 2017

Organoleptic Characteristics: Soft and very elegant wine, with an intense and dark ruby red color. On the nose hints of ripe red fruit, blueberries and blackberries with a light Maraschino cherry finish. Imposing and warm in the mouth with an enveloping alcoholic element.

Vineyard : 30 years old, in the geographical mention Bussia located in Monforte, 300m above sea level

Soil: clayey with veins of fine sand.

Exposure: south, south-east.

Training system: classic guyot.

Production: 70 quintals/ha.

Vinification: in steel tanks with the emerged cap system and maceration on the skins for more than 20 days. The fermentation temperature is kept at a maximum of 30 °C at the beginning and then reduced to 25 °C. About 20% of the bunches are dried before fermentation. Malolactic fermentation takes place later, but before racking.

Aging: 3 to 4 years in tonneaux, depending on the vintage, followed by 6 months in steel and another 6 in the bottle.
