Denomination: Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC
Vintage: 2022
Organoleptic Characteristics: Austere, dry and elegant wine. The color appears deep ruby with garnet reflections. Hints of violet, dog rose, aromatic herbs and sweet spices stand out on the nose. In the mouth it is dry, full-bodied and with a very persistent finish.
Vineyard : 25 years old, located in the municipality of Diano d'Alba, between 250 and 300 m above sea level
Soil: clayey-calcareous with good sand content.
Exposure: south-west.
Training system: classic guyot.
Production: 90 quintals/ha.
Vinification: carried out in steel tanks, with the emerged cap system and with the maceration of the marc for 10 to 12 days. The fermentation temperature is controlled and maintained at around 25-27 °C. Malolactic fermentation takes place at the end of fermentation and once the racking is complete.
Aging: 19 months, 12 of which in large Slavonian oak barrels, 5 in steel tanks and 2 in the bottle.
